Cyber Tech Force is a children's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) lab that provides high-quality, term-long courses and school holiday workshops that are designed to inspire and empower.
With courses covering problem solving, innovation, design thinking, basics of electronics, soldering, software coding, 3D printing, and smart product development, there is something for every student at every ability.
Father-daughter duo, Anas and Ahla, are the people behind Cyber Tech Force.
"Dad, I'm the only girl in my robotics class of 12 students!"
On the first day of her high school class, Ahla realised that she is the only girl in a STEM course. After hearing his daughter, Anas realised that in his TAFE Diploma class of Cybersecurity, there are only three women out of 18 students!
After digging deeper, a 2025 study by the Government of Australia gave some insights, and thus Anas and Ahla set out to address the issue of lack of confidence among 12 to 17 year old students by designing a curriculum around the conversion of everyday mundane objects (like a coffee mug or a football) into smart IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
Anas has 7 years of experience in Electronics R&D and 15 years in UX Design and User Research. He holds an Electronics Engineering degree, a Cybersecurity Diploma, and a Postgraduate Degree in Product Design and Engineering.
Ahla is our junior mentor — she is a high school student who mentors Year 5 and Year 6 kids in a STEM Holiday Program organised by Curtin University.
